129.12 POLICE TO ASSIST FIRE DEPARTMENT.

All police officers and such other peace officers as are on duty at the time shall respond to all fire alarms and assist the Fire Department in the protection of life and property of the residents, and property of the Fire Department, and in controlling traffic and maintaining order. (1965 Code §8-19)
