§ 34.01 SALE OF BURIAL PLOT; PERPETUAL CARE FEES.
   (A)   Sale of burial plot and care for cemetery fees.
      (1)   There shall be established, for the sale of burial lots in the town cemetery, a charge of $600 per burial lot. Baby graves, however, shall be at a charge of $350 per burial plot.
      (2)   From said burial lot charge, a percentage of said charge will be set aside for the perpetual maintenance of said town cemetery, pursuant to the “Ordinance to Establish Perpetual Maintenance Fees for the Vevay Cemetery”, which is in effect at the time of this section and any amendments thereto.
      (3)   There shall be established, for services rendered for cemetery care by the town, the following charges:
         (a)   For opening and closing Monday through Friday, a charge of $550;
         (b)   The Town Council has a policy of having no funerals on the weekends. However, in the event that a weekend funeral cannot be avoided, the charge for opening and closing for Saturday will be $600, and for Sunday will be $650; and
         (c)   The charge for opening and closing on a holiday will be $650, and $350 for baby graves. Holidays, for which this fee will apply, include:
            1.   New Year’s Eve;
            2.   New Year’s Day;
            3.   Martin Luther King Jr. Day;
            4.   President’s Day;
            5.   Good Friday;
            6.   May Election Day;
            7.   Memorial Day;
            8.   Labor Day;
            9.   Columbus Day;
            10.   November Election Day;
            11.   Veteran’s Day;
            12.   Thanksgiving Day;
            13.   Day after Thanksgiving Day;
            14.   Christmas Eve; and
            15.   Christmas Day.

   (B)   Perpetual care fees. The Town Council finds it to be in the best interest of the town and its citizens that a designated amount be established to be taken from the fees received from the sale of burial lots, and set aside for the perpetual care and maintenance of said town cemetery.
      (1)   From every burial lot sold from the town cemetery, 30% of the total fee paid for every burial lot shall be set aside for the perpetual care and maintenance of said town cemetery.
      (2)   The Town Clerk-Treasurer shall be charged with the responsibility for setting aside said percentage and depositing said monies in the existing perpetual care fund.
