It shall be unlawful for any person to possess any open container having therein any alcoholic beverage or any alcoholic beverage in any constituent part, on any street, alley, sidewalk, or in any other public area or private area open to the public within the corporate limits of the town, except within any private area open to the public and licensed by the Alcoholic Beverage Commission of the state to sell alcoholic beverages for consumption within the premises.
