Whenever the Public Works Director, the purveyor of potable water for the Versailles Municipal Water, finds that a potential shortage of the supply of treated water exists or will exist, upon written certification thereof to the Mayor, the Mayor shall publicly declare a water shortage advisory. In addition to the declaration the Mayor shall call upon all customs of the Versailles Municipal Water System to employ voluntary water conservation and to eliminate the waste of all treated water.
