§ 50.02 CONNECTIONS - DUTIES OF CUSTOMER AND CITY.
   (A)   The person desiring city water service shall furnish and lay the necessary pipe and make the connections from the city’s service main line to the meter box and meter setter, and from the meter box and meter setter to the place of consumption. All such work shall be performed by a licensed plumber. The person desiring service shall be responsible for keeping the service line from the point of connection with the city’s water meter to the point of consumption in good repair.
   (B)   In all new developments, the subdivision developer shall be responsible for connecting to the city’s main line and installing the meter box and meter setter. The builder shall be responsible for connecting the service line for the meter box to the place of consumption.
   (C)   The city’s duties shall be limited to furnishing and installing the water meter. For water taps 3" in size or greater, the person desiring service shall at his own cost and expense supply and install the water meter under the supervision of the city.
   (D)   All meter boxes and meter setters shall conform to the specifications adopted by the city.
