§ 90.55 FAILURE TO APPEAR.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful for any person to fail to appear at the time designated in a complaint given to that person for the violation of any ordinance of the city.
   (B)   It shall be a defense to an alleged violation of this section that the defendant had good cause for his or her failure to appear. GOOD CAUSE is hereby defined as any reason which renders the defendant’s failure to appear to have been an involuntary act; however, it shall be no defense that the defendant shall have forgotten the time and place of his or her required appearance.
