(A) All sidewalks coming under Class I shall have a slope of 1/4-inch to the foot, sloping towards the curb so that all water runs freely toward the curb or gutter.
(B) All sidewalks coming under Classes II, III, and IV shall have a slope of 1/4-inch to the foot, sloping towards the curb or gutter and shall be constructed as follows:
(1) Where there is 4 feet or less between the outer edge of the sidewalk and the curb, the outer edge of the sidewalk shall be 2 inches above the top of the curb and slope 1/4-inch upwards towards the building or lot line;
(2) Where there is more than 4 feet between the outer edge of the sidewalk and curb, this height of 2 inches shall be increased at the rate of ½-inch to the foot for each foot over 4 feet between the outer edge of the sidewalk and the curb, and the sidewalk shall be constructed upon a grade of 1/4-inch to the foot, sloping upward from the outer edge towards the inner edge of the sidewalk.
(C) On all streets where there is no curb, the grade of the sidewalk shall be established by the Engineering Department Supervisor under the direction of the Department of Public Safety and Service.
