§ 97.02 GAS MAIN LOCATION CHANGE.
   Whenever any street shall be paved, all gas pipes and gas mains shall be removed to the outside of the paved portion before the construction of the improvement, and whenever any of the gas mains in any street are worn out and no longer fit for the original purpose, or if it becomes necessary that they be rebuilt, the use of the gas mains shall be discontinued and new gas mains shall be laid between the outside sidewalk line and the curb line on both sides of the street.
