(a) Remote water meter reading devices shall be installed for all new construction as provided for by Section 1042.08.
(b) In addition to all other fees, licenses or other charges, the owner or contractor of all new construction using the remote water meter reading device shall pay thirty-five dollars ($35.00) per device to the City to cover cost of material and installation. The remote water meter reading device shall be furnished and installed by the City. The City shall also furnish the necessary wire to make the electrical connection from the water meter to the remote reading device. The installation of the electrical connection from the water meter to the remote reading device shall be done at the expense of the owner or contractor.
(c) No installation of a remote water meter reading device shall be made without at least a twenty-four hour notice given to the City prior to the date on which the installation is to be made.
(d) The provisions of this section are in addition to all other requirements of the City with regard to the installation and use of water service to any user of such service within the City.
