At any time that a wild, vicious and exotic animal for which a permit has been issued escapes its confinement, the following steps shall be taken by the owner to ensure that the public is duly notified and that all possible measures are taken for the protection of the public as follows.
(A) (1) Immediately upon knowing that any wild, vicious or exotic animal is outside the secondary enclosure and out of sight of the owner, the owner shall contact the ASO immediately and provide a detailed report of how many animals have escaped, which animals have escaped, particular dangers which exist and related precautions the public should take to avoid harm, and any other pertinent information.
(2) The owner shall cooperate fully with the ASO and other public safety officials to ensure the timely and safe return of the animals to the permitted facility.
(B) The ASO (with assistance of the Sheriff) will then notify the neighbors who are listed on the original application, the Sheriff and any other pertinent public safety personnel, public school officials, and any other persons or organizations deemed appropriate.
