§ 71.01 UNLAWFUL ACTS.
   It shall be unlawful for any person to operate a motor vehicle which is self-propelled and designed to run upon the highways, roads or terrain of this state, whether the motor vehicles shall or shall not be required to be registered with the North Carolina Department of Transportation, Division of Motor Vehicles in conformity with the provisions of G.S. § 20-50, and which vehicles shall hereafter be popularly known as “go-carts,” “3-wheelers,” “4-wheelers,” “dune buggies,” or “all-terrain” vehicles, upon the land owned by the County Board of Education. The operation thereof by any person, whether licensed or unlicensed for the operation of motor vehicles by the Department of Transportation, Division of Motor Vehicles upon that land shall be a misdemeanor as defined in G.S. § 14-4(b).
