§ 150.26 ZONING ORDINANCE.
   (A)   The Planning Board shall prepare, certify and submit to the Board of County Commissioners, for its consideration and possible adoption, a zoning ordinance regulating the height, area, bulk, location and use of buildings, structures and land, in accordance with G.S. § 153A, Article 18.
   (B)   (1)   The Planning Board may initiate, from time to time, proposals for amendment to the zoning ordinance based upon its studies and comprehensive plan.
      (2)   In addition, it shall review and make recommendations to the Board of Commissioners concerning all proposed amendments to the zoning ordinance.
   (C)   (1)   The Planning Board shall circulate or cause to have circulated all proposed amendments to the zoning ordinance to appropriate government, utility and public service entities for review and comment.
      (2)   These comments shall be considered in the formulation of recommendations to the Board of Commissioners.
