Section 9-3103.2   Issuance of permit.
   Upon the filing of an application for a sign permit, the Zoning Enforcement Officer shall examine the plans and specifications and, as deemed necessary, may inspect the premises upon which the sign is proposed to be erected or affixed. If the proposed sign is following all the requirements of this chapter and other applicable codes, a permit will be issued. Any permit issued under this section shall automatically become null and void unless the work for which it was issued has visibly commenced within six (6) months of the date of issue or if the work authorized by it is suspended or abandoned for one year. The applicant shall be responsible for obtaining a building or electrical permit from the Building Inspection Department when required by applicable local and state codes.
