This Franchise shall commence upon its acceptance by the Grantee along with such other documentation as required by this Franchise and the Village of Utica and shall continue for twelve (12) years from the effective date of this chapter. The Franchise shall be extended for an additional three (3) years upon agreement of the Village and Grantee. If either of them does not agree to said extension, the non-agreeing entity shall notify the other entity at least six (6) months prior to the expiration of the original twelve (12) year franchise term. If no such notification is given, the contract shall automatically be extended three (3) years, for a total of fifteen (15) years. (Ord. 02- 016. Passed 1-13-03.)
