505.13 KEEPING OF ANIMALS.
   (a)   The owner and the keeper of any farm animal or animals (such as pigs, horses, cows, goats, llamas, or alpacas) in the Village, shall comply with the following:
      (1)   No person shall keep more than two farm animals per five acres of land.
      (2)   No person shall keep any farm animals in any pen, yard, lot or other enclosure situated within 150 feet of an inhabited dwelling house, other than the house of the owner of such animals.
   (b)   The owner and the keeper of fowl or poultry in the Village shall comply with the following:
      (1)   The number of fowl shall be limited to five, except that for residents with more than five acres, the number of fowl shall be limited to two per acre.
      (2)   No roosters will be permitted.
      (3)   All such fowl or poultry shall be maintained in a secure pen.
      (4)   Any pen or other enclosure shall not be situated within 150 feet of an inhabited dwelling house, other than the house of the owner of such fowl or poultry.
   (c)   No persons shall keep more than three dogs at least three months of age or six or more cats or rabbits over three months of age.
   (d)   Rabbits need to be properly secured in an enclosure.
   (e)   The owner or keeper of any animal or animals, fowl or poultry described in any of the above sections of this ordinance shall keep the pen, yard, lot or other enclosure in a sanitary condition and free from any offensive odors.
   (f)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree. Each day on which a violation occurs or continues shall be deemed a separate offense.
