(a) Tap Fees. Each residence and business establishment connecting to the Village water service shall pay a tap fee in the amount of five hundred dollars ($500.00) for each water tap, regardless of size.
(b) Capacity Charges. In addition to the tap fee, each residence and business establishment connecting to the Village water service shall pay a capacity charge as set forth below:

(c) Connections Generally. Each residence and business establishment connecting to the Village water and sewer service shall be responsible for the cost of materials and excavation, including backfill and final grade, to bring the lateral for water and sewer service from the residence and business establishment to the Village main water and sewer line serving the area. Curb stops and shut-off valves will be installed by the Village Water Department at the time the water and sewer taps are made. The installation of water and sewer laterals shall be inspected by the Village Water Department prior to back fill. The minimum size for water lines shall be three- fourths inch and for sewer lines four inches. When excavation for installation of laterals involves crossing a street or alley, the final grade shall be under the supervision of the Village Street Department. Each individual residence and business establishment shall have its own water and sewer to a main line and a shut-off valve. For apartments there shall be one water and sewer lateral to the main line and a shut-off for up to six dwelling units per building. (Ord. 07-008. Passed 4-9-07.)
