For the purposes of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply:
(a) “Solid waste” means such unwanted residual solid or semisolid material, excluding earth or material from construction, mining or demolition operations, but including garbage, combustible and noncombustible material, street dirt, and debris. “Solid waste” does not include “bulk solid waste” unless otherwise provided herein.
(b) “Bulk solid waste” means solid waste of substantial volume such as unwanted appliances and furniture.
