(a) For any license to be issued under the provisions of this chapter, each applicant shall consent to a background check and pay the applicable fee established by Urbana Police Division policy for Webcheck fingerprinting, with direct mailing of the results from BCI to the Director of Finance. Once on file with the Director of Finance, applicants shall update background checks every three years and may renew licenses annually.
(b) Each applicant shall pay fifteen dollars ($15.00) annually to cover additional administrative expenses related to licensure. All licenses expire December 31, of that calendar year in which they are acquired, regardless of the date the license is issued unless renewed prior to December 31. For any renewal license within the three year period, the annual fee must be paid before December 31 or an updated background check is required.
