743.01 DISPLAY OF SIGNS; RECORD OF PURCHASES.
         Every keeper of a shop or store for the purchase, sale or barter of old metals, secondhand furniture or secondhand articles of any kind shall put up, in some suitable or conspicuous place on his shop or store, a sign having his name and occupation legibly inscribed thereon and shall keep a book in which shall be written at the time of every purchase of any old metals or secondhand articles, a description of the articles purchased, the name, age and residence of the person from whom, and the day and hour when the purchase was made.
