The Chief of Police may detail a police officer to the premises where a dance, ball, roller skating or like entertainment is given pursuant to a permit as required in Section 727.03, or the Director of Finance may, as a condition to the granting of the permit, require that the applicant for the permit, at the cost and expense of the applicant, maintain on duty on the premises throughout the duration of the dance, ball, roller skating or like entertainment, a special police officer acceptable to the Director.
