505.01 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter the following words and phrases shall have the following meanings ascribed to them respectively.

   (a)   “Animal” means any dog, cat, guinea pig, hamster, rabbit or any other warm blooded animal which is a domesticated pet, or used for exhibition purposes. The term specifically excludes livestock and poultry.
   (b)   “Livestock” means horse, pony, stallion, colt, gelding, mare, sheep, ram, lamb, bull, bullock, steer, heifer, cow, calf, mule, jack, jennet, burro, goat, kid, swine, and any animal normally found in a wild state which is being kept for exhibition purposes or as a private pet.
   (c)   “Fowl” means any and all fowl, domesticated and wild, male and female, singular and plural.
   (d)   “Unconfined”. A vicious dog is unconfined if the dog is not securely confined indoors, restricted by a security fence, or confined in a secure enclosure or locked pen which effectively prevents the dog from going beyond the premises of the person who owns, harbors or cares for the dog.
   (e)   “Vicious dog” means:
      (1)   Any dog with a propensity, tendency or disposition to attack, cause injury or to otherwise endanger the safety of human beings or other domesticated animals without provocation.
      (2)   Any dog which attacks a human being or other domesticated animal without provocation.
