153.01 PROTECTION FROM CIVIL ACTIONS.
   (a)   All officers and employees acting in their official capacities shall be held harmless for personal liability, including legal fees, in civil cases.
 
   (b)   In civil law suits resulting from the official acts of officers and employees, the City shall defend them in court or administrative hearings and shall pay judgments against them.
 
   (c)   This section shall not apply to cases based on officers or employees gaining personal profit or advantage to which they were not legally entitled, including remuneration paid in violation of law as determined by the courts nor in cases brought about by fraud or dishonesty.
