(a) All fire alarm systems shall include a secure key box installed in a location on the building readily accessible to the Fire Division.
(b) The key box required shall be a type approved by the Chief of the Fire Division and shall contain keys that will permit the Fire Division access to the building upon responding to a call through activation of the fire alarm system. The locking device on the key box shall be such that the Fire Division can use a master key to open the box, as approved by the Chief of the Fire Division.
(c) The key box shall also contain the location of the fire alarm system annunciator panel, the location of the fire alarm system’s users manual and the name of a person that can be contacted in the absence of the owner or other building occupant.
