1501.06 HEARING ON CITATION.
   (a)   When an officer issues a citation under Section 1501.05, he shall schedule a hearing on the citation before the Fire Chief. The hearing shall be held not sooner than ten days nor more than thirty days after receipt of the notice.
   (b)   The Fire Chief shall receive any relevant evidence that the responsible person, his attorney, the officer who issued the citation, and any other person who, in his discretion, has an interest in the subject matter of the hearing, may offer. The Fire Chief shall affirm, modify or dismiss the citation or the assessed penalty, or may extend the time period for abatement if such period is found to be unreasonably short considering the nature of the violation. Testimony received at the hearing shall be under oath and shall be reduced to writing.
   (c)   If the responsible person is aggrieved by an order of the Fire Chief, the person may appeal to the Court of Common Pleas under Ohio R.C. Chapter 2506.
