Each elected officer of the City shall be an elector of the City and shall continue to reside therein during his term. Each Council member elected to represent a ward shall be a continuous resident and qualified elector of the ward he represents, or territory annexed thereto, during his term of office. Any elected officer who ceases to possess such qualifications shall forfeit his office.
