Oak Dale Cemetery shall be under the charge, management, control and regulation of the Director of Administration.
(a) The Oak Dale Cemetery Board is established to assist the Director of Administration with duties such as long-range planning and strategic guidance. The Board shall consist of at least five voting members appointed by the Mayor and a nonvoting member of Council who shall be appointed by the President of Council. The voting members shall be confirmed by a majority vote of Council for staggered terms of three years each, and serve with no pay.
(b) In the event the City of Urbana pursues a “union” or merger with another publicly- owned or operated cemetery, the Board shall follow the procedure established by Ohio R.C. 759.29 and 759.36 to become a joint board of trustees.
