375.04 WINTER OPERATION.
   Snowmobiles used for winter travel may be operated as follows:
   (a)   Snowmobiles may be operated in the City only for the purposes of gaining access to or from an area of operation outside the City by the most direct route, except as restricted within this chapter, and other than the use of a street as designated in Section 375.03(g) hereof, relating to prohibitions, unless such streets must be utilized to make a crossing. Such crossings must be made at intersections and only if they can be made in safety and will not interfere with the movement of vehicular traffic approaching from any direction on the highway or street and provided the operator yields the right of way to any approaching traffic;
   (b)   On streets or highways within the City whenever the local authority having jurisdiction over such streets or highways so permits.
