1121.03 ZONING OF ANNEXED AREAS.
   Upon annexation of township territory to the City, the annexed areas shall be zoned in accordance with the City's Comprehensive Land Use Plan, if such area had a land use designated by the plan, or shall be zoned R-1A, if no land use was designated by the Plan. However, the Planning Commission may recommend a different zoning designation for such areas within thirty days from the date the matter is first referred to the Commission by Council. If the owners of township lands desire a different zoning classification other than recommended by the Comprehensive Land Use Plan, the request shall be stated along with the annexation petition. Council shall refer any such requests to the Commission for their recommendations within thirty days from the date the matter is referred to the Commission.
