A. For purposes of determining a member's years of service for the adjustment to the dollar limitation of § A261-62A required by § A261-69A, the member shall be credited with a year of service (computed to fractional parts of a year) for each computation period for which the following conditions are met:
(1) The member is credited with at least the number of hours of service required under the terms of the pension plan in order to accrue a benefit for the computation period; and
(2) The member is included as a member under the eligibility provisions of the pension plan for at least one day of the computation period.
B. If these two conditions are met, the portion of a year of service credited to the member shall equal the percentage of a full year of service credited to the member for such computation period.
