§ 212-16.   Driveways.

   A.   Location and design.
      (1)   Intersections. shall be located not less than 40 feet from the intersection and shall provide access to the of a lesser classification when there are of different classes involved.
      (2)   Pavement widths and . paving widths and shall be in accordance with the Standards. 9
      (3)   All shall be located, designed and constructed in such a manner as not to interfere or be inconsistent with the design, maintenance and of the highway.
      (4)   The Board of Commissioners shall have the authority to approve intended for the of two or more families, apartment , commercial and industrial projects where usage by the occupants constitutes essentially a private . constituting private are those accessways used by two or more families daily or 10 or more workers daily for vehicular circulation. serving as private shall not be dedicated to the municipality, nor does the municipality assume any responsibility for their maintenance.
      (5)   Location and placement of serving as private shall comply with Subsection A(1) of this section and with § 212-15D. Additionally, provisions for and stormwater shall be approved by the Township . [Amended 1-10-1995 by Ord. No. 879]
      (6)   The Board of Commissioners shall evaluate the location, placement and alignment of serving as private based upon the ease of accessibility to and efficient maneuverability through the for protective services of fire and police.

      (8)   All must be offset a minimum of five feet from any property line, unless approved as part of a SALDO application. [Added 6-14-2011 by Ord. No. 11-1240]
      (9)   All side entrance garages shall provide a minimum of 28 feet of paving for adequate turnaround area. [Added 6-14-2011 by Ord. No. 11-1240]
   B.   Construction.
      (1)   Construction of to be used as private shall conform to minimum design for , other than those applicable to , width, curbing and shoulder .
      (2)   The owner, and all successors, of any property which is to abut any serving as a private shall be fully responsible for the permanent of the (s) and for the maintenance thereof in a good and safe condition.
