A customer’s water system shall be open for inspection at all reasonable times to the Public Works Superintendent and his or her designated representatives, to determine whether cross-connections or other structural or sanitary hazards exist. When a condition becomes known, the Public Works Superintendent shall deny or immediately discontinue service to the premises by providing for a physical break in the service line until the customer has corrected the condition in conformance with this subchapter. In the event the customer refuses access to the Public Works Superintendent or his or her designee, the Public Works Superintendent or his or her designee may then require a backflow prevention assembly to be installed at the meter.
