Every officer and employee of the Municipality shall, before entering upon their duties, take and subscribe to the following oath or affirmation to be given by the Mayor or other person authorized to administer oath as designated by the Mayor. "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support the Constitution of the United States and the State of Ohio, and will obey the laws thereof, and I will, in all respects, uphold and enforce the provisions of the Charter and ordinances and resolutions of the Municipality of Union, and will faithfully discharge the duties of upon which I am about to enter." Oaths of officers and employees shall be filed and maintained by the Clerk of Council.
