Upon approval by the City Manager, or their designee, when an employee has been named to fill an Acting Appointment and performs the duties and responsibilities of their current position and an executive, supervisory, or managerial position or in circumstances where an emergency hire would otherwise be required and for a period of five or more working days, then the employee may receive a 10% increase in the employee’s current rate of pay, effective as of the first working day of acting in the higher position.
