(a) Upon application for a flood permit with the Building Department, a copy thereof shall be referred to the Engineer, or to his authorized representative, for determination of whether a proposed erection, construction, alteration, repair, improvement, movement, or installation of a building, structure, or mobile home is within a designated flood zone as indicated on the Flood Insurance Rate Maps provided by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
(b) The Engineer, or his authorized representative, shall have a maximum of seven (7) working days to make a flood hazard determination from the date of receipt of the application from the Building Department. Upon such determination by the Engineer, or his authorized representative, a written copy thereof shall be returned to the Building Department.
