All applications and plans for the construction, enlargement, alteration or repair of any building or other structure in the Municipality, in which the total square footage impacted equals or exceeds twenty-five percent (25%) of the existing square footage of the structure must be submitted for approval to the Architectural Review Board. Any application and plans for construction, enlargement, alteration or repair of any building or other structure in the Municipality in which the total square footage impacted is less than twenty-five ppercent (25%) of the existing square footage of the structure may be reviewed and determined by the Building Commissioner.
All applications and plans for the relocation and moving of buildings, dwelling houses and other structures within the Municipality must be approved by the Review Board. It shall first consider the general intrinsic or extrinsic architectural characteristics and compatibility of the structure to be relocated and its proposed new neighborhood. The Board may conduct its own investigation in determining whether or not the proposed relocated structure will be in general architectural compatibility and will not work a detriment to the architectural scheme of the proposed new location and the Board shall not waive other requirements of these Codified Ordinances relating to the moving of structures.
