725.01 PROHIBITED ALARM SYSTEMS.
   (a)   Automatic Dialing Devices. No person shall use, permit or cause to be used any device or telephone attachment which automatically selects any telephone line allocated by the telephone company to the City or any of its departments or divisions.
   (b)   Certain Local Alarms. No person shall install or maintain a local alarm which sounds a horn, bell, buzzer or other type of alarm audible outside the premises, if such alarm does not become silent automatically within one-half hour after the device first sounds, or if the alarm produces an intensity of sound in excess of sixty-five decibels at 100 feet from the building being served. The sensory mechanism used in connection with such devices must be adjusted to suppress false indications of fire or intrusion, so that the devices will not be actuated by impulses due to transient pressure change in water pipes, short flashes of light, wind noises such as the rattling or vibrating of doors or windows, vehicular noise adjacent to the installation or other forces unrelated to genuine alarms.
