Xeriscape

   A landscaping program designed to save water using the seven principles listed below:

•   Water conserving design;

•   Low water use/drought-tolerant plants;

•   Reduction in turf;

•   Water harvesting techniques;

•   Appropriate irrigation methods;

•   Soil improvements and use of mulches; and,

•   Proper maintenance practices.
