(a) Prospective and current employees, contract employees, volunteers, and interns who have access to: criminal justice programs, systems, and records including the Arizona Criminal Justice Information System (ACJIS), secured areas, facilities, or equipment that processes highly sensitive information and data, or systems or equipment used for the purpose of managing public resources and emergency management shall submit a full set of fingerprints to the city to conduct a criminal history check for purpose of determining whether the person has been convicted of a crime that bears upon the person's fitness and suitability.
