Sec. 20-50. Availability of accident reports and files to parties involved, their attorneys, agents, insurers, or adjusters.
All information obtained in the investigation of traffic accidents, other than the reports of the parties involved and by garages, made pursuant to A.R.S. section 28-673, shall be made available within a reasonable time in all cases that do not prejudice the investigation of criminal matters, in the opinion of the chief of police, upon the payment of such fee or fees as are established pursuant to section 20-51, to the parties involved, their attorneys, agents, insurers or adjusters, provided that before the chief of police furnishes such information to an attorney, agent, adjuster or insurer, he shall furnish the chief of police a written request therefor in substantially the following form:
"Chief of Police
Tucson, Arizona
"I request as (attorney), (adjuster), (insurer), or (agent) for (party involved) such information as you have compiled, exclusive of that which is confidential under A.R.S. section 28-673, concerning a traffic accident occurring in the City of Tucson at (location) on (date) wherein above party was involved.
