Sec. 20-44. Accidents; duty of police to investigate, make arrests, assist in prosecutions.
It shall be the duty of all police officers, including the officers of the traffic division, to investigate traffic accidents, to arrest and to assist in the prosecution of those persons charged with violations of law, causing or contributing to such accidents.
