141.37 OVERTIME; CALL-IN.
   (a)   This section applies only to the foremen in the following departments/divisions who are covered by the provisions of the FLSA:
      Electrical;
      Refuse Collection and Disposal;
      Street;
      Water Treatment Plant;
      Water Distribution;
      Sewage Treatment Plant;
      Sewer Maintenance;
      Cemetery; and
      Park.
   (b)   Overtime shall not be paid unless first authorized by the City.
   (c)   Overtime. When an employee is required to work in excess of forty hours during the work week, the employee shall be paid overtime pay for such time over forty hours in a work week at the rate of one and one-half (1 ½) times the regular hourly rate of pay. Hours of work for the purpose of this section shall mean hours of active pay status other than sick leave hours. Compensation shall not be paid more than once for the same hours under any circumstance.
   (d)   Call-In Pay for Emergency Work. An employee required by the City to work at a time outside of the regularly scheduled shift when such time is not contiguous to the normally scheduled shift shall be guaranteed a minimum of three (3) hours pay. If such time is contiguous to an employee’s regularly scheduled shift, such time shall be paid at the applicable rate but only for the hours worked. (Ord. 47-15. Passed 12-21-15.)
