141.35 CLOTHING MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCE.
   If deemed appropriate and necessary by the Appointing Authority, there shall be a quarterly clothing maintenance allowance of one hundred seventy-five dollars ($175.00) paid to the following employees:
   Foremen of Refuse Collection and Disposal, Street, Sewer Maintenance;
   Water Distribution, Park, Electrical and Cemetery Divisions/ Departments
      Operations Superintendent;
   Superintendents of Cemetery Department, Water Plant, Sewage Plant
      and Park Department;
   Assistant Superintendents of Water Plant and Sewage Plant; and
   Miami Shores Golf Course employees (except for the Director of Golf)
 
   (b)   A new City of Troy employee covered by this section shall receive the yearly clothing maintenance allowance within fifteen days following his start date. No further quarterly allowance shall be paid until the following quarter following this first year of employment. If the employee's employment is terminated within one year of employment, the City shall withhold from the employee's final paycheck the unearned amount of the allowance on a monthly pro rata basis.
 
   (c)   The City shall prescribe the uniform for each work unit to include acceptable standards of cleanliness and condition. An employee shall be subject to discipline if the standards are violated.
 
   (d)   The employee shall be responsible for the purchase and maintenance of the prescribed uniforms, safety shoes and personal equipment.
