141.25 REPLACEMENT OF PROPERTY DESTROYED IN THE LINE OF DUTY.
   Employees of the City shall be entitled to replacement, at City expense, of articles of clothing, equipment and personal property which are necessary for the job and which are destroyed in the line of duty and not due to employee's negligence. Such replacement shall be requested through the Director of Public Service and Safety and subject to his approval. The employee's application shall set forth a description of the article destroyed and the cause of destruction. Each employee making application for replacement of destroyed articles shall also make application for and actively prosecute a claim for benefits under any other applicable laws or benefit programs. Upon receipt of benefits from an employee's claim for benefits under any other applicable laws or benefit programs, the employee shall reimburse the City in an amount equal to the amount of benefit received under such claim.
