(a) The Fire Prevention Code shall be enforced by the Bureau of Fire Prevention in the Fire Department of the City which is hereby established and shall be operated under the supervision of the Chief of the Fire Department.
(b) The Chief of the Fire Department may appoint any State certified member from the Fire Department, as Chief in charge of the Bureau of Fire Prevention. In the event the chief of the Fire Department does not appoint a Chief in charge of the Bureau of Fire Prevention, the Chief of the Fire Department shall be considered the Chief of the Bureau of Fire Prevention. Any member of the Fire Department appointed by the Chief of the Fire Department as Chief in charge of the Bureau of Fire Prevention shall continue in office during good behavior and satisfactory service and may be removed, with cause, from such office by the Chief of the Fire Department at any time.
(c) A report of the Bureau of Fire Prevention shall be made annually and transmitted to the Mayor. Such report shall contain all proceedings under this Code, with such statistics as the Chief of the Fire Department may wish to include therein. The Chief of the Fire Department shall also recommend any amendments to the Code which, in his judgment, shall be desirable.
