(a) A charge shall be made for each Basic Life Support (BLS) emergency ambulance service transport at the rate of $379.00 per trip plus $10.76 per loaded mile.
(b) A charge shall be made for each Advanced Life Support #1 (ALS 1) emergency ambulance service transport at the rate of $767.00 per trip plus $10.76 per loaded mile.
(c) A charge shall be made for each Advanced Life Support #2 (ALS 2) emergency ambulance service transport at the rate of $843.00 per trip plus $10.76 per loaded mile.
(d) A charge shall be made for each Refusal of Transport at the rate of $50.00.
(e) A charge shall be made for each Treatment with no Transport at the rate of $100.00.
(f) All of the rates of charges set forth herein shall automatically adjust each year on the 1st day of January, to follow the Ambulance Inflation Factor (AIF) as published by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS).
(g) Definitions.
(1) The City will provide definitions for Basic Life Support Services, Advanced Life Support 1, Advanced Life Support 2, Refusal of Transport and Treatment with no Transport by written policy.
(2) A "loaded mile" is the actual odometer reading of the emergency ambulance vehicle from location to location when the patient is in the ambulance.
