935.09 MONUMENTS AND MARKERS; FOUNDATIONS.
All monuments and markers placed in the cemeteries shall be of bronze, granite or marble, and no vertical joints therein shall be permitted. All foundations for monuments and other structures must be of sufficient depth and stability to support the proposed structure, and to this end no structure may be erected until the foundation therefor has been approved by the Superintendent of Cemeteries. When any marker, monument or other structure to be erected in the cemeteries requires, in the opinion of the Superintendent, foundations to support it properly, such foundation shall be installed by employees of the Superintendent to a proper depth and strength to support the proposed structure at the expense of the person erecting the structure.
Erection of headstones or other markers in Section 6 in Riverside Cemetery, which project above ground level, is hereby prohibited.
