The Board of Park Trustees is abolished. The members of such Board shall forthwith, upon the appointment of the members and the organization of the Board of Park Commissioners, transfer and deliver to the Board of Park Commissioners all property and funds in the name, care, custody or possession of the Board of Park Trustees. The members of the Board of Park Trustees shall, despite the abolishment of such Board, continue to be empowered as such Trustees until such transfer and delivery of property and assets has been completed.
