(a) No person shall solicit for, or engage, in tree work within the limits of the City without obtaining a license. Such license shall be signed by the Director of Public Service and Safety (or his designee) and obtained at the office of the City Engineer. Applicants shall provide documentation displaying qualifications and experience to engage in such tree work.
(b) An annual fee, established by the Park Board, shall be charged for such license.
(c) Such person shall employ at least one individual who is licensed to perform tree work within the City. If such license ceases to represent such person then no person shall engage in tree work until another individual is licensed as provided herein. All tree work performed by such person shall be under the supervision or direction of such licensee.
(d) No license shall be valid until the applicant provides documentation of the following:
(1) A liability insurance policy with limits of bodily injury of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) per person and three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) per accident and twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) property damage. Such policy shall contain an endorsement that ten days notice shall be given the City in the event of cancellation. The policy shall remain in effect during the license period.
(2) A copy of the current State of Ohio Workers’ Compensation certificate. Noncompliance with this subsection shall be cause for immediate cancellation of any license.
