737.21 INSURANCE REQUIRED.
    No person operating or intending to operate a taxicab over irregular routes shall operate, or cause to be operated, any taxicab for such purpose under the provisions of this chapter until and unless the person shall have first filed with the Police Department an insurance contract for each vehicle used or intended to be used for such purpose, which insurance shall provide the following coverages:
    (a)    Auto Liability. Split limits of two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) bodily injury each person, five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) each accident, and one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) property damage or combined single limit of five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) each accident.
   (b)    Automobile Medical Payments. Five thousand dollars ($5,000) each person.
   (c)    Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Protection. In an amount equal to the auto liability limits.
   Such insurance shall at all times be kept in full force and effect. Failure to establish and maintain such insurance coverages shall be cause for revocation of the license provided for by this chapter.
