Before entering into the performance of the duties of a member of the Board, each person appointed to that office shall first execute a fidelity bond, in the penal sum of $100 payable to the people of the city, guaranteeing his or her faithful performance of his or her duties as a member of the Board. The fidelity bond shall be in the following form:
I, _____________, bind myself to the People of the City of Troy, Illinois, that I will discharge faithfully the duties of the office of member of the Troy Board of Fire and Police Commissioners.
The obligation of this bond is limited to $100.00.
